Hey, I'm Joanna!
I am a heavily caffeinated, creative, and somewhat loud, mom of three. I love summer nights, working out, taking my kids camping, my cat Pumpkin, dog Zoey, and being outside every second I can.
I'm a former teacher who went through a divorce and realized it was time to make some money. I had to choose between going back into teaching or turning my photography hobby that I absolutely loved into a full time business. It was a leap of faith to chase after my dream of being my own boss, but I wake every day grateful that I chose to trust myself and jump.
With 10 years of experience behind the lens, I have no doubt you'll love your gallery. I bring a lot of energy to each session and pride myself on being great with kids, babies, pets, and even dads who aren't digging the photo experience- I've seen it all!
The name "Wild Violet Photography" is exactly what my photography style is. There' s a bit of "wild." We'll have loud, fast-paced, and energetic moments. Then we'll also have the tender "violet" side where I slow down, come close, and showcase the whispers and tender moments. To me, a gallery isn't complete without a bit of both.
When planning sessions, I chase the light and seek out the color and textures. I go in with a vision and adapt to whatever is thrown my way. No matter what happens, there's one thing I can promise you:
